Stephen Gallucci

Master Piano Technician & Composer

Stephen Gallucci is a master piano technician and composer whose life has been shaped by sound, craft, and lineage. Born into a family deeply rooted in music and piano craftsmanship, Gallucci began learning the instrument at the age of three under the guidance of his father, Gary Gallucci—a respected local legend, master piano technician, and composer. From an early age, Stephen developed not only a technical understanding of the piano, but a deep respect for its voice, balance, and emotional power.

Now a second-generation piano technician with over 20 years of professional experience, Gallucci is known for restoring, rebuilding, and maintaining fine instruments throughout New York—servicing pianos from New York City through the Catskills and north to Lake Placid. His work has been trusted by renowned recording studios, concert venues, and accomplished artists, earning him a reputation as a preferred expert for instruments where precision and sensitivity matter most.

As both a composer and pianist, Gallucci approaches each piano with a musician’s ear. He understands the nuanced demands of classical, jazz, and contemporary genres, and he respects the individual voice and intent of every artist who sits at the keys. His philosophy is simple: a piano should serve the music, never impose itself upon it.

Gallucci’s collaboration with Adirondack artist Esmond Lyons began through a shared appreciation for patience, material honesty, and legacy—an introduction that unfolded organically within New York’s creative circles. What started as conversation evolved into a rare partnership rooted in mutual respect for craft. Today, they work together to create one Adirondack-themed art piano per year, merging Gallucci’s mastery of sound with Lyons’ visual storytelling to produce instruments that are as expressive as they are playable.

As you explore this site, each classical piece you hear while navigating between pages is composed and performed by Stephen Gallucci and taken from his most recent album, Embers. We hope the music enhances your experience and offers a deeper connection to the hands and heart behind ADK Art Pianos.
